Hong Kong Disneyland and Ocean Park Hong Kong are the city’s two most iconic theme parks. Hong Kong Disneyland was the first Disney park in China and delivers a classic Disney fairy-tale experience. Ocean Park is more than a marine park—it combines an aquarium, zoo, and amusement park, blending animal encounters with thrill rides.
This guide helps you make the most of both parks.

Hong Kong Disneyland
Don’t want Shanghai Disney-level crowds? Hong Kong Disneyland is usually more manageable, even at the popular rides. It’s also one of the smallest Disney parks, which means you can often cover the major attractions in one day.

Must-try amusement rides
The park is divided into 8 themed areas: Main Street U.S.A., Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Toy Story Land, Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Point, and World of Frozen. Be sure to check out the globally rare or park-exclusive zones like Grizzly Gulch and Mystic Point, plus the highly popular Frozen area.
Frozen-themed Land
The world's first and largest Frozen-themed land officially opened in 2023 at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. Centered around the story of the Summer Snow Day Celebration, this enchanting winter wonderland is a must-visit—whether you're a fan of the films or not. The land vividly recreates iconic scenes and details from Frozen, accompanied by Andrew Cottee’s musical compositions, immersing guests in the magical kingdom of Arendelle, home to Elsa and Anna.
Frozen Ever After
Inside Elsa’s Ice Palace, cutting-edge technology transports visitors on a dreamy, spellbinding journey.
Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs
This movie-inspired roller coaster uses "synchronized audio-animatronics" to bring the characters’ dialogues to life. As guests zoom through the ride, they’ll soar above Arendelle’s forests and fjords, embarking on a thrilling, fantastical adventure.
Main Street, U.S.A.: Main Street Station, "We Love Mickey!"

Main Street, U.S.A. serves as the entrance to the theme park. After scanning tickets and passing through the gateway, visitors officially step into Disneyland. The bustling commercial streets lining both sides of the avenue form the primary shopping district of the park. In the square, a welcoming ceremony featuring Mickey, Minnie, and their musical band greets guests from around the world every day.
The Town Square's Guest Services handles multiple functions, including stroller rentals, lost and found, and VIP services. Any pre-visit inquiries can be addressed here.
Main Street Station (Important Transportation Hub)

The Circular Railway is the only ride in this area, taking visitors all the way to Fantasyland at the northernmost part of the park. For those looking to avoid crowds in the early morning and prioritize exploring the deeper areas of the park first, the small train is undoubtedly the best mode of transportation.
"We Love Mickey!" Main Street Projection Spectacular (Light Show)

At that time, dazzling light projections will illuminate the houses on both sides of the street, transforming the entire American small-town avenue into Mickey’s Starlight Boulevard. Mickey himself will also make a grand appearance in festive attire to interact with the audience.
Grizzly Gulch: Grizzly Mountain Mine Cars

Grizzly Gulch, a unique land in Hong Kong Disneyland, is designed with elements inspired by the American Wild West, transporting visitors back to the era of frontier expansion. The area features Western-style saloons, shops, and other photo-worthy attractions. It is also home to the most thrilling roller coaster in the park—Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars, offering a heart-pounding experience with steep drops, backward plunges, and high-speed launches. Thrill-seekers visiting Disney should not miss this exhilarating ride.
Participants must be taller than 1.12 meters.
Mystic Manor: Escape from the Manor

Mystic Point is a unique themed area exclusive to Hong Kong Disneyland, set against the backdrop of a mysterious museum deep in the tropical rainforest, creating an enchanting Western-style mansion for visitors. Within this magical structure lies the park's most intricate indoor 4D ride experience—"Mystic Manor."

All amusement facilities are located indoors and divided into 4 routes. Utilizing cutting-edge 4D trackless vehicle technology, the electromagnetic cars randomly follow one of the designated paths. Combined with high-definition visuals, lighting, and streamlined indoor scenes, the museum's collections "come to life," guiding visitors on a novel and thrilling adventure.
Toy Story Land: Toy Soldier Parachute Drop, Slinky Dog Spin

The themed area is designed around Pixar's highest-grossing animated film Toy Story, where visitors feel as if they've shrunk to toy size, stepping into the giant toy world of Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
Toy Soldiers Parachute Jump (Observation Tower + Mini Drop Tower)

Similar to a small drop tower, but with a much slower descent speed compared to a standard one. Suitable for visitors seeking a beginner-level experience of weightlessness.
Skyward Remote Control Car (U-Shaped Roller Coaster)

A new type of roller coaster that runs back and forth on a U-shaped track. It's like an upgraded version of a "pirate ship," offering riders the thrilling experience of vertical plunges and sudden drops.
Participants must be over 1.2 meters tall.
Fantasy World: Group Photo, Carousel
The romantic Cinderella Carousel, the home of Disney cartoon characters—Fantasyland is the most heartwarming and enchanting area in the park, embodying the distinctive charm of Disney fairy tales. This zone features the highest number of attractions in the entire park, all of which are child-friendly with no thrilling rides. It is particularly perfect for family trips or visitors who wish to immerse themselves in the classic fairy-tale world.
Cinderella Carousel (Fairytale Style, Romantic Elements)

Beyond the Disney Castle lies this fairytale carousel, where exquisitely carved wooden horses dance to gentle melodies. Especially when neon lights flicker at night, the spinning carousel becomes the very embodiment of romance.
Royal Protocol Court (Princess Photo Session)

How can you visit Disney without indulging your inner princess? If you'd like to interact with the princesses from the movies, be sure to arrive early and make a reservation at the official website. Then, simply head to the Royal Reception Hall at your scheduled time to meet the princesses!
Disney Magical Storybook (Recommended for Families, Classic Story Stage Show)

Follow Mickey as he journeys through 7 beloved Disney classic stories—meet a whole host of iconic animated characters in just one spectacular stage show!
Adventureland: Jungle River Cruise, Festival of the Lion King
One of Disney's classic themed lands. Centered around a lake and Tarzan's Treehouse, the dense vegetation, ancient tribal elements, and totems immerse visitors in a primal rainforest atmosphere. Guests can board specially crafted "bamboo rafts" to reach Tarzan's Treehouse at the heart of the lake, reliving the story of Tarzan, or hop aboard an expedition boat to venture deep into the jungle.
Forest River Journey (Story Cruise)

The central river carries the most important attraction in Adventureland—the Jungle River Cruise. Guests board an expedition boat and follow their "captain" to explore the mysterious jungle. Along the way, they encounter surprising scenes such as Tarzan's Treehouse, jungle animals, and even flames on the water.
The Lion King Celebration (Musical)

"Hakuna Matata" is surely a childhood memory for many. The story of "The Lion King," paired with its beautiful music, makes revisiting Simba's journey through the musical a wonderful experience.
Tomorrowland: Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle, Iron Man Experience
Tomorrowland embodies Disneyland's boundless imagination of the future and serves as the home for Disney's superheroes. Here, visitors can encounter numerous Marvel heroes, including Iron Man and Spider-Man, and even join these superheroes in missions to save the world.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Strike Mission (Virtual Shooting Game)

This is the world's first "Ant-Man and The Wasp"-themed ride, where guests board a "battle vehicle" and use electromagnetic pulse guns to shoot at the core chips and circuits of the Swarm. Scores are tallied at the end of the game.
Iron Man Flight Adventure (4D Theater, Iron Man)

The world's first Iron Man amusement ride, similar to a 4D theater. Visitors sit in a "flight vehicle," wearing special-effects glasses, and embark on a thrilling adventure alongside Iron Man.
For large-scale indoor performances (such as The Lion King, Mickey's Storybook Adventure, etc.), arrive at least 40 minutes early to queue up!
For character meet-and-greets (e.g., Disney friends), it's best to line up 15 minutes in advance, while for the Duffy and Friends lineup, arrive 30 minutes early!!
Fast Pass (Fastpass)
What is a FastPass?

Fastpass Exclusive Lane and Regular Queue Lane
The Fastpass is a priority access system implemented by Disney parks to address long wait times for visitors. Guests can obtain a free Fastpass for popular attractions and return during the designated time slot shown on the pass, allowing them to enjoy the ride without waiting in the regular queue.
How to obtain a FastPass?
Hong Kong Disneyland offers three attractions where FastPass tickets can be obtained (Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Iron Man Experience). At the entrance of each of these attractions, there are FastPass distribution machines. Visitors simply need to insert their park tickets into the machine to receive a FastPass for the corresponding attraction.
How to Use the Fast Pass

The Fast Pass will indicate the corresponding usage time. For example, if a visitor obtains a Fast Pass at 1:30 PM with the time slot marked as 5:30 PM–6:30 PM (as shown in the image), they can use the period from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM to enjoy other attractions without queuing for this one. Upon returning to the attraction during the designated time on the card, they can present it to the staff and experience the ride directly without waiting in line.
Fast Pass Card Instructions
-
Each ticket can only obtain one Fastpass at a time. The first Fastpass will indicate the next available time to retrieve another. Guests may obtain their next Fastpass after the specified time.
-
Fastpasses must be used within the designated time window printed on the card (e.g., 12:00-13:00). The pass becomes invalid if used outside the allotted time.

The entire street exudes a rich vintage atmosphere, drawing countless visitors to snap photos and check in, immersing themselves in the unique culture of old Hong Kong.
