Every city has its high-point hunters, but Chongqing’s terrain makes that urge even stronger. Its 8D landscape and layered building clusters are best understood from above, where the “secrets” of the mountain city finally make sense.
Chongqing has countless high-rises, but only a handful offer great public viewpoints. Many of the best are concentrated in Yuzhong District—the city’s “heart.”
Check the Most Beautiful High-Rise Sunset
Climbing up to the helipad of this skyscraper, captured stunning sunset photos from the high-rise.
Photography Guide
- It is recommended to choose a clear and sunny day for photography during sunset, as the atmosphere on cloudy days may be slightly less impressive.
- Find the right camera position. The correct location is at the edge directly opposite after reaching the helipad; this is also the best spot for backlight photography during sunset.
- It is advisable to use a wide-angle lens, with a 24-70 zoom recommended, to perfectly blend the person with the scenery.
- Avoid overexposure; don’t let the sunset turn into a white, lifeless light. For mobile photography, you can lower the exposure and adjust it later during post-processing.
